Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank has now handed out praise to Mohammed Kudus following an impressive derby display against Arsenal.
Tottenham Hotspur fans would be pleased with Thomas Frank’s first North London derby audition, although it was only in pre-season.
To be honest, the match felt nothing like a pre-season clash, as both teams played with a very high intensity, pushing right till the very death of the tie.
Tottenham emerged victorious in this encounter, beating Arsenal 1-0, showing resilience and great defensive acumen as they kept a clean sheet against their bitter rivals.

Thomas Frank was not the only one getting a first taste of this derby match, as new signing Mohammed Kudus was also involved in Tottenham’s win.
The Spurs boss was asked about the former West Ham man’s performance, and he was full of praise for Kudus, who impressed in both offensive and defensive phases.
Speaking after the match, Frank highlighted Kudus’ composure under pressure and his willingness to put in the hard yards defensively.
He told Football.london: “I think he was really good today Kudus. His hold-up play, the way he takes hold of the ball in tricky situations.
“His one-vs-one skills, his creating opportunities for the team was top class. On top of that I think he is working extremely hard and there was a recovery run from a set piece when he was straining all the way back and he won the ball back.
“That is how he can help the team so much. He will make a lot of the fans excited with his offensive actions and he will also help the team defensively.”
Kudus could be a key attacking weapon for Spurs
Of course, for Tottenham Hotspur fans, they must be pleased to have a player of Kudus’ calibre in their side. The winger brings flair, creativity and an X factor – something that has been lacking in the final third for Tottenham in recent seasons.
His work rate and strength are yet another bonus for Spurs, as the winger has been very hardworking in pre-season with Tottenham.
The 24-year-old’s delivery from set-pieces also allows Tottenham to threaten from dead-ball situations. Indeed, if Kudus can add end product to his game, he could very well be a standout signing this campaign.
