PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Strong to severe thunderstorms are moving through this evening, leading to flash flooding.

Earlier tornado warnings for several counties in New Jersey have expired.

An AccuWeather Alert has been posted for the threat of flash flooding through this evening. Storms will be slow-moving and can drop several inches of rain very quickly.

Ahead of the storms, temperatures climbed into the 90s, which means we will end July on a steamy and stormy note.

Severe storms through this evening will be capable of producing frequent lightning, locally strong winds and small hail.

FRIDAY: A leftover morning shower. Otherwise, it’s breezy, cloudy and much cooler, high 75. Some late day breaks of sun are possible.

SATURDAY: Plenty of sun with lower humidity. A beautiful start to the weekend, high 81.

SUNDAY: A sunny and beautiful day with low humidity, high 84.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny and a bit warmer, high 88.

TUESDAY: Another sunny with low humidity, high 88.

WEDNESDAY: Some sun, watch for the chance of a shower, high 85.

THURSDAY: Mix of clouds and sun, slight chance of a shower, high 84.
