Van Zandt County residents in Ben Wheeler, Canton, Edgewood, Edom, Fruitvale, Grand Saline, Van and Wills Point will now have even faster access to the internet thanks to miles of fiberoptic cable that Spectrum has deployed across the country with their rural construction initiative.
“I speak for many across Van Zandt County when I say that we are excited for Spectrum to bring access to internet services to our communities,” Texas State Senator Bob Hall said. “This partnership will bring new opportunities to our residents and small businesses alike.”

Spectrum’s nation-wide initiative is a $7 billion investment that’s already deployed fiberoptic internet service to more than 77,000 homes in rural communities across the state.
“Spectrum is bringing gigabit broadband to unserved communities in Van Zandt County,” Vice President of Construction for Spectrum’s Texas-Louisiana Service Area Brad Shely said. “Our investment is making it possible to deliver high-value broadband, mobile, TV and voice services in the most rural areas of Van Zandt County. We are providing residents and small businesses superior connectivity at highly competitive prices, backed by a team of skilled local technicians and 100% U.S.-based customer service.”
The company said that these new customers in Van Zandt County are offered download speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second or 500 megabits per second. They’re currently working on evolving their network to offer gigabit upload speeds and multi-gigabit download speeds.
