HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — Actor, comedian and New York Times bestselling author Nick Offerman will visit Harrisburg in September to celebrate the release of his new book and headline the Harrisburg Book Festival.

Offerman, known for roles like Ron Swanson on “Parks and Recreation” and Bill in “The Last of Us”, will give a speech and woodworking demonstration at FNB Field on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

The book, co-authored by Lee Buchanan, is called “Little Woodchucks: Offerman Woodshop’s Guide to Tools and Tomfoolery” and contains a woodworking guide with projects for families.

Tickets must be bought ahead of time for $65 each, and each ticket comes with a signed copy of Offerman’s new book. There will not be a book signing with the author.

The event is set to include a conversation with Offerman, along with a live woodworking demonstration, songs and jokes.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. the day of the event ahead of its 7 p.m. start time.

The event marks the start of the Harrisburg Book Festival, hosted by the Midtown Scholar Bookstore.
