SAN ANTONIO – Texans looking for an affordable family outing, and a way to give back, have a unique opportunity this August.
From Aug. 2-10, the San Antonio Zoo is offering $10 admission to all Texas residents as part of its special initiative: Zoo Cares: Together for Texans. In response to the recent devastating floods across the state, the zoo is launching this limited-time campaign to support affected families and communities.
Here’s how it works: for every ticket purchased and redeemed during the campaign, the San Antonio Zoo will donate one free admission to a Texan impacted by the floods.
“This is more than just a discounted ticket,” zoo officials said. “It’s a way to create connection, healing, and hope through a shared experience.”
Guests can explore the zoo’s wide range of exhibits, from meeting Timothy the Hippo to watching Waffles the giraffe roam Naylor Family Savanna. Every visit during the promotion will contribute to lifting the spirits of fellow Texans who’ve been through hardship.
Important Details:
- $10 admission is valid only for Texas residents with proof of residency (ID required at the gate).
- Tickets must be used between August 2 and August 10, 2025.
- Offer applies to daytime admission only and cannot be combined with other discounts, group rates, or special experiences.
Tickets can be purchased online through the San Antonio Zoo’s official website.
