The 2025 State Fair of Texas has unveiled a lineup of free entertainment offerings, including hundreds of activities spread throughout the fairgrounds.
Beyond staples such as the Texas Auto Show, live music, and educational exhibits, this year’s schedule has new events, detailed blow. For the full lineup, visit BigTex.com/Attractions.
The 2025 State Fair of Texas runs from September 26 to October 19.
What’s New
State Fair Clásico. October 18, Cotton Bowl Stadium
New soccer match between Dallas Trinity FC and international organization Club América Femenil, a professional women’s football club based in Mexico City — described as a milestone for both Dallas Trinity FC and the State Fair of Texas. Tickets can be purchased online and include admission to the State Fair of Texas.
USA Breakdancers. Location and dates TBA
New dance troupe combining breakdancing with comedy, featuring a fusion of slick moves and laugh-out-loud moments, whether they’re spinning on their heads or engaging the crowd with playful antics.
Her Majesty’s Secret Circus. Location and dates TBA
A “spy-fi experience” featuring Agents Honeymoon and Butterfly, dressed in action suits and performing a fire juggling act, enlisting the help of civilian sleeper agents, then shooting a bow and plunger into the sky and catching it atop a giant one-wheeled stealth cycle.
The Thunderbird. One of two new Midway rides, the Thunderbird is 177 feet tall, not sure what it does but it’s described as one of the tallest vantage points on the fairgrounds. Located in the Thrillway, just behind Top o’ Texas Tower. Riders must be at least 48 inches tall to ride.
The Defender. One of two new Midway rides, the Defender is a high-impact propeller ride with fast action movements and an LED light show. Located in the Thrillway. Riders must be at least 55 inches tall to ride.
Levi’s Saloon. New live music experience located at the fair’s Magnolia Beer Garden, in partnership with Levi’s, with nightly shows at 8 pm. The Saloon will also sell Levi’s merchandise which can be customized on-site.
The Black Academy of Arts and Letters
TBAAL makes its debut at the State Fair with:
- Jazz at the Fair, live performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 6:30 pm at the Women’s Museum
- One-day presentation of educational and cultural programming on Monday, October 13, from 10 am-7 pm at the Women’s Museum
Other notes
Mundo Latino: Día de los Muertos, an exhibit celebrating the Day of the Dead presented by the Law Offices of Domingo Garcia, is relocating from the Women’s Museum to the Hall of State.
The Dallas International Coffee Art exhibit presented by Coffee News will be hosted in the Hall of State Gallery, with 20 countries participating in this creative caffeinated gallery.
