A local artist is searching for a new home after being evicted in Over-The-Rhine.

Anthony Stollings, 71, grew up painting with his dad in Lincoln Heights and paints scenes of neighborhoods across Cincinnati.

Stollings now faces eviction from his home.

He says his Social Security check has not been enough.

He told WLWT that he has traveled around the country doing shows, but when he got back to Cincinnati, he found himself without a home.

He said he was given a place on Liberty Street but was recently told to leave, bringing him to eviction court.

“I would like to be able to sell enough so I can get enough to have a stable place to stay, but no matter how, it just seems to evade me,” Stollings said.

In 2001, in the days after Sept. 11, WLWT interviewed Stollings after he painted a tribute for the first responders who rushed to the World Trade Center. See video from that story below.
