The Lansdowne Farmers Market at Veterans Landing, 30 N. Lansdowne Ave., brought the blues to town on Saturday in celebration of International Blues Music Day, treating visitors to a lively afternoon of food, family fun and live performances.

Blues tenor Chris Cross of G3 Soul kicked off the event, captivating the crowd with his smooth, soulful sound.

The Philly Blues Kings followed, showcasing the group’s signature blend of classic blues, tight grooves and dynamic stage presence that has earned them acclaim in the region.

The celebration drew music fans of all ages.

Community organizations on hand were Lansdowne Public Library and School of Rock Delco. Christina Wills will be featured as the artist of the week.

The market happens 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday from May through October, with each week having a new theme.
