JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Jacksonville police are investigating a shooting at the Jacksonville Mall that sent three people to the hospital.
Saturday, just before 8:15 p.m., officers went to the Jacksonville Mall for shots fired. When officers arrived on the scene, they say they found three people with gunshot wounds.
A Jacksonville police official tells WITN that the shooting happened in the mall’s parking lot.
All three people were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
Officers are still at the mall investigating the shooting and are asking people to avoid the area.
