Arizona weekend forecast brings dangerous triple-digit temps

  • August 3, 2025

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — It’s the weekend, and who left the oven on? Phoenix hit a new daily high of 114 degrees at 3:50 p.m.

Plan on plenty of sun this weekend with highs around 112 and 113 on Saturday and Sunday. Monday temps will hit around 112.

FIRST ALERT UPDATE: We are tracking First Alert Weather Days for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday due to the extreme heat. Highs on those days will range around 115.

On Friday, temps will go down to around 112, so still toasty out there. Remember to drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen and try to limit your time outdoors.

It will be another dry week for the Valley with lows reaching the low 90s by the end of the week.

For the high country, monsoon activity will be very low and will mostly impact the higher elevated areas. Expect above-average temps as well.

An extreme heat warning is in effect for the Grand Canyon in areas below 4,000 feet in elevation. For example, on the south rim highs will range in the mid to low 80s, but down at Phantom Ranch it will be above 110.
