Watermelon Week at Superica
Superica’s Watermelon Week continues, bringing a lineup of refreshing, watermelon-infused eats and drinks through Thursday. Guests can cool off with a frozen or on-the-rocks watermelon margarita, try the sweet and spicy Mexican Candy cocktail,and dig into a fresh watermelon salad.

Oyster Day Specials at Caracol and Xochi
Celebrating National Oyster Day, Caracol, 2200 Post Oak, and Xochi, 1777 Walker, will be offering their cult-favorite wood-roasted oysters at happy hour prices all day. To add to the fun, the oysters on the half shell will be on special as well.

Fried Chicken & Champagne Night at Emma Jane
Emma Jane, 1226 West Clay, will host an intimate Fried Chicken & Champagne Night beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are $65 and include passed appetizer offerings, one glass of champagne included, and a half-priced bottle selection.
Landry’s Houston Chef Series at King Ranch Texas Kitchen
Landry’s Inc. continues its Houston Chef Series, “island hopping” around the globe at its signature restaurants on select Wednesdays through August 9. Reservations are required, and prices range from $125 to $225 per person. This week, King Ranch Texas Kitchen chef Erick Bocanegra will take a “Cruise Down the Caribbean” with Baked Stuffed Crab from the Bahamas, Jerk Beef Rib from Jamaica, Roasted Fish from Belize and Crème Caramel from Aruba.

Tristen Epps Kitchen Take Over at JŪN
From August 7–10, the JŪN team will pause their menu to introduce Buboy, the buzzy upcoming concept from “Top Chef: Destination Canada” winner Chef Tristen Epps. epps will share a five-course tasting menu highlighting contemporary Afro-Caribbean cuisine while pushing the boundaries of modern fine dining. Reservations are $135 per seat.

Houston Restaurant Weeks
Houston Restaurant Weeks is back, running now through Labor Day Monday, September 1. The Houston Food Bank’s epic annual fundraiser invites restaurants across the city to multi-course menus fo dinner ($39 or 55), lunch ($25) and brunch ($25), with a $1 to $5 donation to the Houston Food Bank and its efforts to fight hunger across the region.
Deli Month at Kenny & Ziggy’s
Kenny & Ziggy’s, 1743 Post Oak, and more than 40 delis across the U.S. and Canada will celebrate the 10th Annual National Deli Month this August, spotlighting classic Jewish delicatessens and raising funds for local charities. All month long, Kenny & Ziggy’s will offer a $45 three-course menu benefiting Holocaust Museum Houston (includes a free museum ticket with each meal).
Little Rey x La Lucha August Taco for a Cause at Little Rey
Little Rey, 2345 Mid Lane, is collaborating with sibling concept La Lucha for its next taco for a cause. Running all month, Little Rey will feature the Crispy Shrimp Taco – made with American cheese and spicy arbol chile – with 100 percent of proceeds going to the Southern Smoke Foundation.

Central Market, 3815 Westheimer, kicks its 30th Hatch Chile Pepper celebration, running August 6–19. Hit the Hatch Hall of Flame for eats from stuffed hatch chicken to hatch-infused dips, jams and aoilis; check out the Hatch Stroll on Friday, August 8 from 4 to 7 p.m.; bring the family to the Kids Stroll on Saturday, August 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and vote on your favorite hatch product in the “Hall of Flamer” Sweepstakes.
