What a different a week makes.

Three hot and humid days, followed shortly after by a deluge of rainfall, broke away, giving the tri-state area a truly gorgeous summer weekend.

Temperatures stayed in the low 80s and humidity could barely be felt. How’s that for a bit of relief.

Smoky, hazy skies look to interrupt our idyllic summer comfort. On Monday, wildfire smoke from Canada makes an entrance into the New York area.

The good news? We can expect minimal impacts to our air quality.

The smoke won’t affect air quality for the vast majority of us – AQI is forecast to be around 101 – nearly the lowest possible AQI for “unhealthy for sensitive groups.”

Monday and Tuesday also bring about slightly warmer temperatures for the region. The highs are expected to reach the upper 80s, but humidity will stay low.

The rest of the week looks to bring slightly cooler days, with highs in the lower 80. By next weekend, warmer conditions and some showers will be at our doorstep.
