COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State basketball team will provide a preview to its 2025-26 roster with a preseason exhibition game.
According to Eleven Warriors, the Buckeyes will host Ohio on Oct. 15 continuing what’s becoming a tradition with a preseason game to start the year. In past seasons, they’ve faced Cincinnati, Dayton Chaminade and Indianapolis. The only loss so far was to the Bearcats last year.
This game can serve as a homecoming of sorts for Bobcats head coach Jeff Boals who served as an assistant at OSU from 2009-16. He’s gone 114-76 in seven years at Ohio with an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2021.
Ohio State is entering its second year under Jake Diebler, hoping to improve on a 17-15 record from last season which was also the third year that it failed to make the NCAA Tournament.
