  • August 5, 2025

HOUSTON – Houston Police are questioning a driver caught on dashcam video who was going the opposite direction before causing two separate crashes.

It happened around 1 a.m. when our cameras caught the driver in a blue Ford F-150 going north in the southbound lanes of I-45 just north of 610.

The man ended up crashing head-on into a vehicle with two people inside before coming to a rest on the feeder road. The two occupants were rushed to a nearby trauma center with what police described as “moderate” injuries.

Another driver crashed as well due to the debris from the initial accident, but police said he was not injured.

The wrong-way driver, meanwhile, has not been identified, as of this writing, but was last said to be detained by investigators. It’s unclear what led up to the crash, but an investigation remains underway.
