PHOENIX — A collision involving a motorcyclist in Phoenix on Monday left a man dead, authorities said.

Arnold Ramey, 54, was traveling eastbound on Thunderbird Road when an unknown vehicle turned in front of him, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

After braking, Ramey became separated from his motorcycle and collided with a nearby stationary vehicle.

The vehicle that cut him off did not remain at the scene, police said.

Officers responded to the area of 48th Street and Thunderbird Road around 1:30 p.m. Ramey was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead.
