PHOENIX — A woman was found dead inside an apartment on Monday, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Officers responding to reports of a dead body in the area of 77th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard around 9:40 a.m. found the woman with a gunshot wound.
The woman, who was in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Office of the Medical Examiner has taken custody of her remains.
No further details were made available as this is an ongoing investigation.
