Jack Reid, 17, was your typical student at a private school, one who was active in student council and, as his parents have said, loved people.

Sadly, after a year of bullying and cruel behavior by private school classmates, Jack died by suicide in 2022.

Now, anti-bullying legislation has passed both houses of the New York state Legislature and just needs to be signed into law.

The sponsor of the legislation in the Assembly, state Assemblymember Michaelle Solages, joined Capital Tonight Wednesday to discuss.
