PHOENIX — More than a hundred APS customers were left without power Wednesday evening in metro Phoenix due to a vehicle accident.

On its website, APS listed 140 people as being affected by the outage which started around 4 p.m.

The power company stated that the loss of power was caused by a vehicle accident, which damaged equipment.

The outage is located in the area of Seventh and Dunlap avenues.

APS said customers are expected to have power by 10:20 p.m.

Meanwhile, temperatures on Wednesday in Phoenix reached 116 degrees and broke a daily heat record that was set in 1995.
