A pursuit of four armed robbery suspects ended in a violent crash in Glendale early Thursday, the Glendale Police Department said. 

Officers responded to reports of an armed robbery at the 800 block of West Glenoaks at around 1 a.m. 

According to the victim, four men dressed in black and armed with a firearm took hundreds of dollars in store merchandise. 

Officers later spotted a car, matching the description of the car used in the robbery, speeding and running red lights down Monterey Road and Geneva Street, 

When police attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver continued and a short pursuit ensued. 

The suspected robbers’ car then crashed with an unoccupied car near Jackson Street and Lexington Drive where one of them fled on foot, but was quickly caught.

Another suspected robber was ejected from the car during the crash.  

All four of the suspected robbers sustained significant injuries from the crash and were transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, police said.

During their investigation, Glendale police confirmed that the suspected robbers’ vehicle had been reported stolen and a firearm was recovered at the scene.
