Watsonville police and the city of Watsonville have announced that a mountain lion was reported in Watsonville on Loma Vista Drive near La Salle Street.All mountain lion sightings reported to Watsonville officials in the past several weeks have not involved reports of aggressive behavior.Officers can only intervene under strict circumstances (such as aggressive behavior) due to mountain lions’ status as a protected species.
