SAN ANTONIO – One person jumped from a second-story building, and two are being treated for smoke inhalation after an apartment fire on Tuesday night.

The fire started around 9:30 near Starcrest Drive and Barrington Street.

According to the San Antonio Fire Department, crews arrived to find the two-story building in flames. One person had jumped from the second floor of the building and sustained injuries; they had been transported to the hospital.

Two more people were treated for minor smoke inhalation.

Eight apartments were located in the building, and the Red Cross is assisting residents who have been displaced.
