The Sporting News unveiled its 2025 preseason All-America team this week, featuring 58 standout players across 2 teams. Among them is Mizzou left guard Cayden Green, who secured a spot on the second team offensive line.
Green was 1 of 23 SEC players selected for the 2 teams by the outlet. He was the only Missouri player. The Sporting News is 1 of the 5 selectors designated by the NCAA for determining consensus and unanimous All-American status at the end of each college football season.
Since transferring from Oklahoma in 2023, Green has established himself as a formidable presence in the trenches for the Tigers. He started every game last season at left guard and will be crucial to Mizzou’s offensive line as one of only two returning veterans.
The SEC showcased its strength with its 23 total selections leading all conferences. Texas led all schools with 5 selections, including 3 first-team honorees: quarterback Arch Manning, linebacker Anthony Hill Jr., and safety Michael Taaffe. Notably, Mizzou will face 9 of these players during the upcoming season.
