A Dallas man was convicted earlier this week on federal drug trafficking charges.
Deldrick Damond Lewis, 40, was found guilty Wednesday by a jury of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Lewis supplied methamphetamine in the Grayson County area, according to a news release from the U.S. Eastern District of Texas, which said Lewis sold approximately 490 grams of the drug during one transaction.
Evidence gathered and presented during the three-day trial included Lewis’ social media accounts, text messages and other information from his cellphones.

Lewis could face up to life in federal prison, based on the statutory maximum sentence. According to court documents, a sentencing hearing for Lewis will be scheduled once the U.S. Probation Office’s presentence investigation is complete.
The Dallas Morning News reached out to Lewis’s attorneys for comment, but did not receive a response.
The FBI, Texoma Narcotics and Violent Crime Task Force, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Sherman Police Department and the Dallas Police Department SWAT Team all investigated this case.
