“No broke boys, no new friends” is the mantra of the summer, and this cockatoo named Solomon completely understands this. The bird recently had a dance party with their dad to Tinashe’s hit song “No Broke Boys” and I’ve honestly never related to a cockatoo more in my entire life. Go off, king! Set those standards! No scrubs in this house!
TikTok can’t get enough of the cute and funny video. It currently has 766 thousand views, over 94 thousand likes and over 200 comments.
In the TikTok, Solomon bobs up and down to the beat on his perch, clearly enjoying both the message and tune of the song. It is absolutely hilarious. Of course, Solomon isn’t dancing alone. His dad is right there with him, vibing as well.

“I know a baddie when I see one,” one person commented.
“Solomon just has good taste!” joked another.
“Doesn’t he have a residency in Ibiza?” said someone else.
This dancing cockatoo is a whole vibe and a perfect reminder for all of us to know our worth and to not settle for less than we deserve. Thanks, Solomon!
What to Know About Adopting a Cockatoo
Cockatoos are one of the most popular types of pet birds out there. Cockatoos are technically large hookbill parrots and there are over 20 species of cockatoos to choose from, each with their own distinct personalities and behavior. Some varieties of cockatoos include the sulfur-crested cockatoo, black cockatoo and galah cockatoo.
According to petMD, cockatoos are incredibly vocal, often “squawking very, very loudly.” petMD stresses the importance of understanding their noise level prior to adopting, as many cockatoos end up getting re-homed for their noise levels. petMD does note that setting proper boundaries with the bird as a baby and giving them enough stimulation can help with excess energy can help.
When it comes to a cockatoo’s diet, they need plenty of variety to stay healthy. petMD recommends a diet of greens, vegetables, and fruits, and also says that two-thirds of a typical cockatoo diet should be nutritionally balanced, formulated pellets. petMD notes that a seed-only diet is not the best option for your cockatoo and to primarily focus on fresh fresh veggies, fruits and cooked grains and legumes, with only 20 to 25 percent of the cockatoo’s diet being fruits and vegetables.
When it comes to caring for a cockatoo, you will need a cage. petMD says the minimum size is 36 inches in length, 24 inches in width and 48 inches in height. The cage should contain metal bars spaced ¾ inches apart. Do note, cockatoos love an escape plan, so make sure your cage has strong locks to keep them safe and secure.
Definitely do your research prior to adopting a cockatoo to make sure you are the right fit for them, and them for you.
