Slice Communications, a strategic communications firm, has announced it has acquired the assets of Henry & Germann Public Affairs LLC, also known as H&G. The acquisition was completed on Aug. 1.

Both firms are woman-owned, and serve clients across Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties and beyond, according to Slice. The newly acquired H&G will operate as H&G Public Affairs, a Slice Communications company, for the foreseeable future. Slice is based in Philadelphia, while H&G is based in Yardley, Bucks County.

In an emailed response to questions, Slice said clients can expect expanded expertise in community relations and public acceptance programs, crisis and reputation management, and strategic advocacy and stakeholder engagement. In addition, the company said H&G deepens Slice’s strategic offerings and complements the communications work the agency has been doing.

“H&G and Slice share the same core values and singular dedication to achieving results for our clients,” Kelly Henry, H&G principal, said in a statement. “We are excited to join with the impressive knowledge and experience Slice already provides to expand together what our clients can achieve.”

The combined strengths of the communications firms will give “legacy and new clients access to the enhanced public affairs and community relations knowledge and capabilities offered by H&G, while providing the comprehensive services of Slice to meet their communications goals,” the release stated.

“It is a real honor and privilege to be able to carry on the legacy that Kelly and her team have built while also deepening the strategic communications guidance we can provide all our clients,” Cassandra Bailey, CEO of Slice Communications, said in a statement.  “Community relations and advocate engagement have never been more important than they are today.”

Slice Communications was founded in 2008, and since then has grown both organically and through acquisitions, the company said. In 2022, Slice acquired the assets of GillespieHall, one of the leading agencies in Delaware that provided public relations and crisis communications services to state-wide non-profits, government offices, corporations, and interests across the United States.

Established in 2009, H&G is a full-service public affairs and strategic communications firm that supports Fortune 500 companies and government clients throughout North America. The firm specializes in supporting complex and potentially sensitive programs through its expertise in community relations, issues management, crisis communications, reputation management, third-party advocacy, public acceptance programs, and risk management communications, according to the release. The firm has been used across a variety of industries, including energy, electric power, mining, steel mills, water supply, waste management, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food processing, and healthcare.

All employees at H&G are being retained.
