A small fire in the kitchen triggered the sprinkler system, officials said.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A small kitchen fire at a restuarant at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall caused patrons to evacuate on Saturday night, according to officials with the Scottsdale Fire Department. 

Fire officials were called to Elephante and found light smoke in the restaurant, so they immediately evacuated the area. Officials then discovered a small fire in the kitchen, which activated the sprinkler system, officials said. 

No one was injured, officials said, and the fire was quickly under control.
