Judging by their postgame comments, the Vikings checked just about every box they hoped to in the preseason opener against Houston.
Beyond the final score, starters performed well in the small sample size of snaps they were afforded while several players in depth chart battles used the opener to boost their stock – notably WR Lucky Jackson, QB Max Brosmer, CB Zemaiah Vaughn, LB Gabriel Murphy, DB Kahlieff Hailassie, CB Zemaiah Vaughn and RB Zavier Scott.
