The IDF spokesperson addressed the incident in Jericho where Abdullah Atiyat, a 25-year-old from Nazareth, was killed, stating that “during an operational activity, IDF forces operated in the Jericho area. During the activity, the forces identified a suspect moving toward them who posed a threat, they fired toward him and a hit was confirmed.” They added that the incident is under investigation. Additionally, the IDF acknowledges the family’s claim that the young man was shot in the head.
