SAN ANTONIO — A Chacho’s on the Northeast Side was evacuated early Sunday morning after police say a former employee attempted to set the restaurant on fire.
Officers were called for a bomb threat around 12:16 a.m. to the restaurant located in the 8600 block of Perrin Beitel.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, a small fire was extinguished and an “incendiary device” was found. Investigators say the suspect was determined to be a former “disgruntled” employee who was seen fleeing the scene directly after the fire.
Employees were evacuated from the building and no injuries were reported. The San Antonio Fire Department and arson investigators also responded to the scene. No arrests have been made at this time.
