Hotel date turns into robbery as armed suspect emerges from bathroom

SAN ANTONIO – A date with a girl at a hotel quickly turned into a robbery early Saturday morning.

Sources tell us this happened at the SureStay Plus by Best Western San Antonio Fiesta Inn.

When police arrived at a hotel on the 13,000-block of IH 10 W a 33-year-old man told them he had been robbed. The man told police he met a woman at the hotel for a date. After spending a few minutes with the woman in the hotel room, police tell us an armed man jumped out of the restroom and robbed him. After the robbery, he was forced out of the hotel room.

Multiple officers were needed to get the suspects out of the hotel room and into police custody. Both were booked for aggravated robbery.
