Since “A Court of Thorns and Roses” by Sarah J. Maas was released in 2015, the fantasy romance book series has dominated the NYT Best Sellers list, as well as BookTok. Unsurprisingly, celebrities hopped on the “ACOTAR” bandwagon, and Bruce Willis’s daughter, Tallulah Willis, claimed the tale surrounding Feyre Archeron is one of her faves. “I’ve reread this book series about three times, and it’s unbelievable. I’m big on fantasy fiction,” she told Page Six. For the ultimate self-care sesh, Tallulah shared that she combines a soft nightgown, a great-smelling candle, and one of Maas’s books for a cozy night in.
Although “ACOTAR” launched 10 years ago, the book gained momentum on TikTok around 2021, with Mental Floss reporting that Maas was the most sought-after writer on the social media site. The series, which currently includes five books, is continuing to wow readers, and TikTok user Katryce shared in 2024, “I finished the whole thing in a little over two weeks. It was so good, I could not put it down.” Author Mel Robbins also took to TikTok to reveal that her daughters insisted she read Maas’s books, and they did not disappoint. “It is so fun and fantasy and gripping in all ways that you could think of the word gripping. It is just absolutely incredible,” she gushed. Tallulah and Robbins aren’t the only famous names who are hooked on “ACOTAR,” and several other celebs have raved about the fantasy series that readers can’t stop buying.

A book rarely remains a best-selling read a decade after its launch, but “A Court of Thorns and Roses” is still enthralling bookworms everywhere. Singer Jordin Sparks raved on X, “I just finished ‘ACOTAR’ by Sarah J. Maas and I’m reeling … REELING!!! It’s been a long time since a book series has left me unable to put it down and wanting more. 5 books & 2,896 pages, and I was done in 2.5 weeks. There’s still so much to be written!” She added, “11/10 would HIGHLY recommend!!”
“Barbie” star, Margot Robbie, is not just a fan of “ACOTAR,” but she’s also buddies with Maas. “I’m beyond obsessed. She’s the coolest. You know she’s in her 30s? She’s also a genius. We’ve become friends. It’s like, oh, you’re like all my girls — I love it,” she shared with Harper’s Bazaar. When asked which one of Maas’s books is her fave, Robbie stated, “I think ‘ACOTAR’ was my like way in, so that’s always, I don’t know — it’s tough. I really couldn’t say — God, it’s like picking a favorite child. They’re all perfect.” Fans have been waiting for the sixth installment of “ACOTAR” for years, and hopefully, it’ll be one of the upcoming fantasy romance books we’ll be able to get our hands on in 2025.
