CATSKILL, N.Y (WRGB) — Just before 5 a.m. Monday morning, emergency responders in Catskill responded to a crash involving two trucks on the New York State Thruway.

According to the Catskill Fire Company, initial reports suggested possible serious injuries and entrapment, but upon arrival, both drivers were found walking around outside their vehicles.

The crash reportedly occurred when one truck traveling north collided with another. Despite the severity of the crash, both drivers emerged unscathed, according to the fire crew.

Traffic was maintained in one northbound lane after confirming no entrapment, and the scene was handed over to Thruway maintenance after about an hour.

The New York State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
