The extensive ten-day refurbishment at Knights Templar Sports Centre has introduced new equipment, a fresh layout, brighter lighting and a completely updated look and feel.
Every piece of equipment in the gym has been replaced, and the facility now boasts new cardio and weights machines equipped with the latest technology.
These changes, along with the introduction of more functional training options, aim to enhance the fitness experience for gym-goers.

Sarah Wright, general manager at Knights Templar Sports Centre, said: “It’s fantastic to see the transformation complete and the gym doors back open.
“This upgrade delivers a high-quality, inclusive fitness space that will benefit both the school and the wider community for years to come.”
The refurbishment has also paid attention to accessibility, with machines adapted for wheelchair users, including a chest press, shoulder press, seated row and a removable-seat hand bike.
Other new additions to the gym include a multi-cable machine and a chest and pec fly machine.

The 40-station gym has been restructured to provide more space in the free weights area and improve overall accessibility.
Alongside the new re-equipment, visitors will also notice a modern new flooring and a completely fresh look throughout the space.
The refurbishment follows Everyone Active taking over management of the centre on April 1.
It also comes after the completion of a major resurfacing of the centre’s floodlit 3G pitch, which reopened to the public on June 16.

John Swift, school business manager at The Knights Templar School, said: “We are delighted with the new state-of-the-art fitness suite that was installed this week.
“Together with the recent resurfacing of the Astro turf pitch, we now have first-class sports facilities to be enjoyed by the school and the local community.
“On behalf of The Knights Templar School, huge thanks to our partners Everyone Active for their support and investment since taking on the sports centre contract in April.”
Knights Templar Sports Centre first opened in 2005 and also offers a sports hall, exercise studio, artificial turf pitch and grass football pitches.
