Plane lands on Vermont golf course; no one injured

  • August 12, 2025

VERGENNES, Vt. (WCAX) – No one was injured when a small plane landed on a Vermont golf course on Sunday.

It happened on the 17th hole at the Basin Harbor Golf Course in Vergennes.

Staffers at the Basin Harbor said the pilot mistook the course’s fairway for the Basin Harbor Airport’s grass runway.

The plane ended up resting just near the green and partially in a pond.

Staffers said nobody was injured and they are working to remove the plane from the course.
