I Just Spent My Entire Paycheck at This Under-the-Radar Home Store

As a shopping editor, I like to be fully aware of every store selling attractive wares, whether they’re clothes, home goods, or anything in between. So, imagine my surprise just last spring when I was in hot pursuit of a dress to wear to my fiancé’s graduation from business school, and I happened upon Tuckernuck, my new favorite store. Again, I thought I knew all of the best spots already, so when I realized I had never heard of Tuckernuck until that moment, I literally spent hours poring over each page and saving almost everything to my shopping list.

If you, too, are new to Tuckernuck, allow me to sum up the vibe: It’s an upscale fashion company that skews preppy and charming. I would definitely not describe my style as preppy, but I do prefer a polished, tailored look, and Tuckernuck definitely matches that aesthetic. Anyway, I’ve been buying clothes on Tuckernuck for over a year now, and just stumbled upon the home section. Yes, there’s a home section replete with gorgeous linen napkins, affordable drinkware, and even scented candles. I won’t even tell you how much stuff is currently in my cart because it’s a little embarrassing, but let’s just say there’s a lot in there, and I’ll share the few home items I already bought because they’re too good to keep to myself.

Like many people who enjoy shopping, I never set out on a mission to buy something specific because I have found that I never actually find it, and end up settling for something I don’t really love. Instead, I like to peruse and explore, and that’s when I always find gems, such as my new hand-blown tumblers I break out when I have people over, and a very cute dog-shaped bottle opener that I had to have. Tuckernuck sadly does not sell furniture (yet), but there are tons of incredible products that anyone who likes to entertain could use, including a set of La Double J plates outfitted with a butterfly, a 1950s-style pitcher, and cane chargers.
