At least a dozen train cars jackknifed and collided with each other in a derailment and fire Tuesday afternoon in Gordon.

Texas Sky Ranger flew over the crash Tuesday afternoon and found smoking cars and firefighters working to get things under control.

More than a dozen crumpled freight and tanker cars were stacked on top of each other among the debris.

No evacuations have been announced, but in a post on X, the Palo Pinto County ESD asked people to stay away from the derailment near Coalville Road as first responders manage a “potentially hazardous situation.”

Officials have not determined what was carried in each car or what led the train to leave the tracks.

No injuries have been reported.

Gordon is located along Interstate 20, about 60 miles west of Fort Worth.
