SAN ANTONIO – State officials are continuing to clear out debris from across the Texas Hill Country after deadly flooding.
On Wednesday, the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) announced on Facebook that crews had collected 148k+ cubic yards of debris across areas affected by the deadly Hill Country floods in July.
“This ongoing effort helps clear roads, restore services, and move forward with recovery,” said the agency on Facebook.
Officials say the total amount of debris is enough to fill more than 45 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
Recovery efforts remain ongoing, as families continue to pick up the pieces and local, state, and federal leaders continue to organize and work twoards long term sustainability for the community.
