The comedian turned to a clip of Trump who, in a rambling press conference where he announced the center’s 2025 honorees, claimed he initially questioned the “fools” who asked him to be the host before eventually agreeing to the job.

“But no, you guys, I’m glad he’s hosting this!” said Byer after the audience booed the video of the president.

“I mean, let him host the Emmys, the Grammys, a podcast with Theo Von! He can be the host at an Applebee’s, anything that distracts him from running this country into the ground!”

Byer explained that she didn’t want to “rush to judgement” and suggested that Trump, who was elected the center’s chairman in February after firing its board of trustees and replacing them with his loyalists, could “crush it” in the gig.

She then tossed to a mock ad for the ceremony celebrating “non-woke” honorees like the “late, great Hannibal Lecter” and Diddy alongside special appearances from the likes of Skeletor and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.

“Only on CBS, because I made them my bitch!” said a voice mimicking Trump in the clip.
