’80s Sitcom Icon, 62, Knows Exactly Where Her Famous Character Would Be These Days originally appeared on Parade.
Lisa Whelchel‘s statement about where her most famous character would be in 2025 is pretty astute.
The beloved Facts of Life actress, 62, who rose to international stardom as the snobby queen of the Eastland School in the legendary ’80s sitcom, had plenty to say when asked where her legendary character would be these days.
“I can absolutely imagine her on Instagram,” Whelchel told Entertainment Weekly. “And I think she’d have a huge following, of course, because she would have lived this big, exciting life. I do think that would be the focus of her life. It would be: Is it Instagram post-worthy? And if not, it’s not even worth it.”

Whelchel, who played Warner for nine seasons on the hit series, is now the host of Collector’s Call on MeTV.
In addition to her work hosting Collector’s Call, Whelchel has dipped into reality TV. She was a contestant in Survivor: Philippines in 2012 and made it to the Final Tribal Council before being defeated. Earlier this week, Whelchel was asked by Entertainment Weekly if she would be returning for Survivor: 50.
“I was not contacted,” Whelchel told Entertainment Weekly, explaining that she did the Survivor Quarantine Questionnaire several years back and made it clear she wasn’t interested. “I think one of the reasons is because you did do the COVID interview with me and I was very clear that I would never do it again.”
Oh, well. At least we’ll get to see White Lotus creator Mike White on the milestone season!
