Manchester United chief executive officer Omar Berrada addressed club staff ahead of the new Premier League season.
Preparations for the new season conclude this week as Manchester United take on Arsenal in the Premier League opener at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim and his team will be hoping for improved results following a dire initial six months as head coach.
United finished the 2024/25 season in 15th and missed out on a place in the Champions League competition after losing the Europa League final to Tottenham.
Since then, Ineos have worked hard to ensure Amorim has better options available to him in his squad next season, especially in attack.
Matheus Cunha joined from Wolves at the beginning of the summer, before the arrivals of Diego Leon, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.
United are now hoping to sign a midfielder before deadline day.

United are looking to bounce back this season.
To mark the new Premier League campaign, which will be Amorim’s first full season in charge, The Athletic reports that Omar Berrada held a meeting on the indoor training pitch at Carrington.
Berrada was joined by Jason Wilcox and Amorim to help give an overview of the summer and set out some new club objectives.
The club’s chief executive officer announced new principles for United, using club legends like Eric Cantona and Roy Keane as prime examples who possessed an uncompromising and combustible style.
The principles of “bravery, badge and spirit” were revealed and staff were given metal water bottles with the three words written across them as a reminder of the motto.
Maybe Omar Berrada was serious about project 2028, they’re making the right moves.

United fans will hope those core values are evident on the pitch this season because they were lacking last term.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe criticism from Man Utd employees
There is unrest at United due to the lack of job security since Sir Jim Ratcliffe became co-owner.
Ratcliffe’s regime thus far has consisted of hundreds of redundancies and a strict cost-cutting strategy to ensure money is available for the head coach to spend in the transfer window.
At the meeting, an audience including employees was instructed to scan a QR code on their phones, which would allow them to explain what they need to deliver on United’s three prime principles.
Ineos’ favourite responses include “integrity”, “collaboration”, “hard work” but others took aim at Ratcliffe.
“Stop being cheapskates,” was one reply. “We have little trust in leadership,” another said.
The fears these employees have stem from having no influence over budget control and a lack of autonomy.
After reading out some of the replies on stage, Berrada said: “Interesting”.
