Authorities Thursday sought help in locating a 44-year-old man with a number of health issues who went missing in downtown Los Angeles.

Vanik Issagholi was last seen at 9:55 a.m. Wednesday at Project Angel Food in downtown L.A.

Issagholi requires diabetes medication and takes a number of prescription drugs.

He can communicate verbally, but often has difficulty explaining himself. He is most fluent in Armenian, but understands some English, officials with the Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center said.

Issagholi has wandered off before and has ended up at his mother’s house. He will approach strangers for support, officials said.

“He knows his address,” according to a statement from the Lanterman Center. “He is not carrying any form of identification or cell phone.”

Issagholi does not pose a threat to others “unless approached in a way that make him feel in danger,” according to the statement.

Issagholi was described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 200 pounds with wavy, medium-length gray hair and brown eyes. He is missing teeth on the left side of his mouth and has a medium build. He was wearing a pink T-shirt, brown khaki pants, blue shoes and a non-working Apple watch when last seen.

Anyone with information regarding Issagholi’s whereabouts was urged to call the regional center at 213-252-6058 or 213-383-1300.
