L.A. Superior Court Judge Tony L. Richardson directed his clerk to order a Daily Journal reporter out of his courtroom Wednesday during jury qualification for a civil harassment and discrimination case against UCLA Health.
The clerk, Karlet Ghazarian, said the hearing was confidential. The judge made no announcement.
Asked Thursday why jury qualification is confidential in this case, Richardson’s clerk said it was because that is the way the judge wants it.
