SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – Phoenix Charter Academy in Springfield celebrating the back to school season with a barbeque earlier today!
Families of both incoming and returning students were welcomed with the opportunity to tour campus and connect with faculty.
The barbeque featured music, local vendors, raffles and giveaways, and a bouncy house for the kids.
“Us being a smaller school, we want to make sure we’re opening to the community so there will be tours going throughout, you’ll be able to meet and greet with teachers, meet our principals and admin, and get a little glimpse of what Phoenix is in Western Mass,” Larissa Thornton, Director of school culture at Pheonix Charter Academy said about the event.
The new Head of School, Tommy Guy, was also there to welcome Springfield in for the new school year.
