Terence Atmane is enjoying a phenomenal run at the Cincinnati Open and is through to his first ATP Masters 1000 semifinal.
The world number 136 clinched his second top ten win of the tournament after defeating Holger Rune in straight sets.
Atmane previously knocked out Taylor Fritz, and in the final four, he will now face his biggest challenge yet in the form of world number one Jannik Sinner.
Having made the main draw through qualifying, the Frenchman continues to catch the eyes of many, including Andre Agassi‘s former coach, Brad Gilbert, who compared him to a former major champion.

Gilbert took to X to say: “I said Atmane reminds [me] of Wayne Arthers, [the] more I think about it, [he reminds me of] Henri Leconte.
“Same quick motion on the serve and [he is a ] shot maker like Henri, what a tournament.”

Leconte reached a career high of fifth in the world and made the French Open final in 1988, where he fell to Mats Wilander.
In 1984, he clinched a maiden Grand Slam title at Roland Garros, when he emerged victorious in doubles alongside French compatriot Yannick Noah.
