SAN ANTONIO – This weekend, the San Antonio Zoo will host a special fundraiser in honor of the late rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, inviting visitors to ride the “Crazy Train” and support Parkinson’s disease research and awareness.

The event, organized in partnership with the Parkinson’s Foundation South Central Chapter, will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Zoo’s Train Depot off North St. Mary’s Streeton Saturday and Sunday.

For each train ride purchased, the zoo will donate $1 to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Tickets, which are available online at SAZOO.org or in person, cost $6 for adults and children ages 3 and up.

In addition to the train rides, visitors on Saturday will have the opportunity to participate in Ozzy-themed activities, including giveaways such as glasses and temporary tattoos, rock-and-roll trivia contests for Parkinson’s Foundation merchandise, and a photo station with themed props.

“Through this initiative, we hope to celebrate Ozzy Osbourne’s legacy while raising awareness and vital support for Parkinson’s disease,” said a zoo spokesperson.
