Syracuse, N.Y. —Dakari Spear, a four-star shooting guard in the Class of 2026, has listed Syracuse basketball among his top five finalists.
Spear, of Dallas Texas (Dynamic Prep), will also consider committing to Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech, according to Rivals.
Spear, listed at six-foot-four, is ranked as the 64th best overall prospect and ninth-best shooting guard in his class according to the 247 composite.
“They’ve attacked me hard in my recruitment,” Spear told Rivals. “I have a strong bond with the assistant coaches, head coach, and GM over there. They feel I can bring Syracuse back to the national championship.”
Spear averaged 23 points and seven rebounds per game on 55% shooting as a junior at The Colony, his former high school.
Spear played for Drive Nation on the EYBL Circuit this past summer, averaging 13.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 40.7% from the field.
Syracuse offered Spear a scholarship in October of 2024.
He has yet to take any official visits.
