Grass fire totals 8 cars; firefighter hospitalized for heat exhaustion

SAN ANTONIO – Eight cars have been demolished, and one firefighter was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion after a grass fire on Friday.

The fire occurred around 6:25 p.m. near 37th Street and Marbauch Avenue.

According to the San Antonio Fire Department, a grass fire quickly spread to cars in the area and totaled eight cars. The fire did not spread to the home, and no residents were harmed.
