AURORA, Ill. (WLS) — The father of two children allegedly paid a kidnapping suspect to bring his two children to Mexico from Chicago’s west suburbs, police said.
Aurora police said officers responded to a report of a possible kidnapping at a home in the 500-block of Rosewood Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officers learned that a Texas woman, later identified as 47-year-old Cindy Sanchez, had gone to the home and said she needed to take two children, an 11-year-old and a 13-year-old who were staying with family in Aurora, out of the state for their mother.
Sanchez left with the two children, but their mother never told anyone to take them, police said.
The Chicago Police Department later found Sanchez and the children at Midway Airport. Aurora officers responded to the airport and helped return the children to their family members.
Sanchez, a Fort Worth woman who is related to the children’s father, was taken into custody. Police said the children’s father, who does not have custody of them, paid Sanchez to bring the kids to Mexico through the Texas border.
Sanchez has been charged with two counts of Kidnapping, two counts of Child Abduction and two counts of Unlawful Restraint.
Sanchez will remain at Kane County Jail ahead of her pre-trial hearing.
