Few details are known at this time, after what is believed to be a fatality near the CNR tracks in Belleville.
Multiple sources to Quinte News indicate emergency responders were called to the tracks along Airport Parkway, just east of the train yard and Via train station.
We are being told that forensics officials, police, fire, and paramedics were all called to the tracks.
There was also a small grass fire near the CN tracks confirmed to Quinte News, however, we are not aware of a connection to the alleged fatality.
We expect more details in the coming hours/days.
An investigation is underway.
