Chicago weather Saturday: Severe thunderstorms down trees in parts of area, Flood Advisory for Cook, DuPage, Will counties

CHICAGO (WLS) — Severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall left damage in parts of the Chicago area Saturday.

There is a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Boone, Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake (IL), McHenry, Ogle, Will, Winnebago, Lake (IN) and Porter counties until 7 p.m.

There is a Flash Flood Warning for DuPage County until 7:30 p.m.

There is a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will counties until 5:45 p.m.

There is a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Lake County (IN) until 5:15 p.m.

The storms downed trees in parts of the area, including North Aurora.
